Just 4 km away is Aubeterre which is situated on the banks of the River Dronne and is officially one of the prettiest mediaeval hilltop villages in France. Just 4 km in the other direction is St Aulay which is also on the banks of the river.
La Maison Artisan
'Maison Artisan' is a pretty refurbished two storey traditional cottage. Set between two others, with white stones, roses and lavender at the entrance and traditional french window shutters, it is ideal as a comfortable base for couples visiting this beautifull area. Regretfully, La Maison Artisan is not young child friendly so we do not take children under the age of 16.
There are two good riverside beaches nearby: Aubeterre (5 mins) and St Aulaye(5mins), where the beaches roll down to the river and restaurants are open for meals and snacks during July and August. Travell north west and you will find the beautiful seaside beaches of St. George, Royan and the Cote Sauvage.
Downstairs, an ample entrance lobby leads into two pretty and comfortable bedrooms and a walk-in wet room.
The first floor is spacious and open-plan twith an imposing baronial fireplace.
The high ceiling and stone walls make the room cool and comfortable at any time of the day. The television receives many terrestrial stations through freeserve including radio and is also a DVD player.
The modern kichen provides all you need for a comfortable stay consisting of cooker, microwave, sink, refridgerator and full range of cooking utensils.
Through the French windows is a large terrace with seating and dining area, ideal for eating or just lazing in the sun

Cleaning. We do expect the cottage to be left in a clean and tidy condition. However, we do offer a complete cleaning facility at the end of your stay for 35 euros
Damage deposit
In addition, we request a deposit of 100 euros to cover potential damage which is of course completely refundable at the end of your stay unless damage has been incurred.
Book for 2012 before the end of 2011 and get a 5% discount.
